I think it is not acceptable because there are many things on TV that are real or live performances that we don't believe but should. This was all because of the quiz show scandal that people do not believe everything they hear or see on TV.

It only lasted on season and was shut down because it was fake. There is a game show called "Deal or no Deal" that i truly believe is rigged. It did not bother me because i only watched this show when i am board and sitting at home alone.
